Just bought a certified pre-owned '04 TT and have been experiencing a weird problem. On two hot days where the car has been in the sun for a period of time, both the driver and passenger windows have gone down on their own after starting the car, and in both instances, failed to completely roll back up all of the way. On the second instance (today), I actually pulled over to the side of the road, stopped the car and turned it off then restarted it, and the windows sealed properly.
I've searched the web and these forums and have seen a few suggestions, but haven't found a definitive answer, though I've come across a few posts regarding high heat situations and TT window electronics (such as this one:
Audi TT: Windows & Doors - CarSpace Automotive Forums). I've done the 5 second down/5 second up reset function, but I'm not sure that is at the root of this problem.
Any guidance or insight would be appreciated.
