Folks,

I think I'm getting the run round from the local garage can you help.
Five weeks ago my A4 TDI (110ps) ate it's own engine. Garage quoted a huge sum of money for a rebuild and an even larger sum of money for a short engine to drop in. I found one in Cardiff and after much waitting around I finally got an engine a few weeks ago. Garage starts off saying it's fine - then switch to "It's off a golf or something it doesn't fit." Bloke in Cardiff says it will - garage says it wont. Who's right? I thought all VW/Audi engines were pretty interchangable esp the 1.9TDI. . . .
Answers please before I reach for the lawyers.
