Hello
A3 2002 Automatic 1.8T
Arived home last friday night, no problems, then next day.... saturday morning I turned on the ignition key, no response

sounded like a dead battery, no ignition, so, I called my mechanic, the result, broken toothed belt..... why broke? The tensioning roller was bad and that made the belt broke.
I know that if the belt breaks when the car is in motion specially going fast, the damage is inminent to valves and other parts, since my car was parked when
this happend, what are my chances of having damaged parts.
I was lucky? Do I only need to change the belt an the tensioning roller?
Please andy input appreciated
Ed
