Fuse blowing
I have a 97 a8 with 130000 miles on it. Just recently the car died all of a sudden while I was driving. I tried to crank it but it sounded like it wasn't getting fuel. I checked the fuse panel in the passenger kick panel and found a blown fuse. I replaced it and the car turned back on. So I drive it like this for the next couple of days and then it happened again. The same fuse blew. Replaced it and it goes fine. I know this will happen again but I've got a couple of questions. My car was bought used about a year ago and I don't have a manual for it. The fuse panel doesn't have a diagram so I don't know what the blown fuse goes to but I imagine it may be the fuel pump. It is the last 15amp fuse in the blue row of fuses. Last being closest to me while sitting in the passenger side. What is this fuse and does anyone have a diagram for the fuses that I can look at? If this is a fuel pump, how involved is it to replace. I havn't gone out to buy a repair manual yet and just want to know what to expect or even if this a recurring problem with something else.
