Over the weekend had to get Audi Roadside out to my A3 as there was a strange noise coming from the engine bay when I had been sat in traffic and the engine had got really hot. The tech that came spent a long time trying to repeat the noise by warming her up and he has diagnosed a potentially warped clutch plate. The sound is the clutch plate skimming the fly wheel when the pedal is pressed in. took it to the dealer and it has been booked in for investigation and they have ordered a new clutch ready if it needs one (can't complain there
.) The main thing, was just wondering if this had been experienced by anyone else as the dealer seemed far to keen on booking it in under warranty for it not to be a recognised problem.
Anyway....if anyone has experienced this perhaps you could let me know.
