They haven't done the job for me yet but they are probably going to get the job. I will post my feedback when done.
On first impressions they seem like a good independent garage and are all Audi trained technicians.
Re. Audi's overheads
The job is booked at 2.5 hours and the unit is £570 from Audi so that makes £500 per hour towards Audi's overheads! I can not justify that cost so yes i feel they are having a laugh.
I've put the car on our diagnostics (Modis) and get the following fault code F125 transmission range sensor no plausable signal. This was the same fault reading on a VAG-COM.
The actual exchange of the unit is quite an easy job when up on a ramp. If I did decide to go down the Re-manufactured route (the cheapest by far) do these control units need coding to the vehicle?
