hi, im not %100 sure on this, but if the head unit is remembering the station settings and the custom sound settings etc, the restart of the cd to the beginning could well be a design flaw of the head unit itself. try changing a couple of settings, like your bass and treble, if it remembers those, its nothing to do with your wiring im afraid.
one thing i must mention though.... 'experts at halfords' is a contradiction of terms :LOL:
