Fearless.. I wouldn't try converting that 5000 over to a Turbo unless I was Completely Fearless.. Course I'm a conservative kind of guy. Now if the frame rails on the Quattro are still straight and the parts up front are relatively undamaged, such as hydraulic pump, and the car is clean that would make a rather exciting restoration project.
I think you can find a new transmission for the 5000 and quite cheap but the installation would need be handled by a reasonably proficient mechanic and if you are one that's great. It appears the result would be excellent being the car is rather immaculate.
