I just called a smaller european / Foreign repair shop.....
They said $129 to put a new boot on......not too bad.

Cost is basically removing the shaft, slapping a new boot, cleaning joint and inspecting it and new grease. We charge about 285 bucks parts and labor at the dealership, so you are getting a good deal.
