Hi all you discerning motorists, this is my first post.
I've just acquired a 1998 A4 1.8T Avant. Few problems other than the rear washer not working and a wet carpet in the passenger side footwell (that's the left here in UK!). Traced to a disconnected rear washer tube (black). Tried to reconnect, but does anyone know to what? I've located a black elbow union behind the trim panel with two white tubes, but no place for a third. Maybe it goes onto the white tube that seems to disappear with other wires into the floorpan, but I daren't tug to remove this without first seeking some helpful advice.
