That makes sense. I wonder then based on that reasoning, if the standard D/V is working more, it may be some additional justification to go the route that Silver went with the aftermarket one, such as from Stratmosphere? More reliable and robust plus improved operating efficiency.

Yeah I wouldnt install a CAI without replacing the D/V....The plastic one that comes stock just doesnt allow enough time for the turbo to maintain its boost, the plastic OEM part is hystorically known to leak boost. Like 1.8L said, the more air you push into the engine the harder the parts related to the Turbo are going to work, D/V included.
On another note, if you read my post about the Revo Software youll see my last question was about the stuttering and major lag that im feeling after the software test ran out. Well I took it for a ride this morning to see if there was any difference, and it feels even worse. It pulls nice and then around 4500 RPMS the turbo feels like its done and im running on all engine. It also begins to stutter, like the turbo is kicking in and then it stops and then repeats. HELP! What the heack is this from? My car was running fine up until I installed that Revo Software and the 5 hour test ended. Do you think maybe the ammount of boost I was running with the software hurt my new D/V??? Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks guys.
